Welcome to Perception Artwork, LLC

It seems like it’s been so long since I worked in the music business, first playing in orchestras, then representing manufacturers of fine professional musical instruments. I leave that all to younger generations but remain a dedicated fan of all types of music. Music has always been my inspiration, I listen constantly while I work on my art. Any my wife and I are still fans of The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, we enjoy their live performances as often as we can.

Why the term perception? My friends know I’ve been a long time fan of The Doors, Jim Morrison…and furthermore the influence of writer Aldous Huxley (The Doors of Perception) on that group. I have an interest in taking a common object, scene (subject) and looking for deeper understanding of its nature or nature herself.

My wife and I have experienced fine art museums around he USA and Europe and beauty is my motivation in everything. My process, especially in painting is to fully absorb a subject, digest it-then create my own unique version. Hopefully I will tell a story about it-and entertain the viewer at the same time. It may be just a simple scene or object, but may also have some interesting elements that spark the viewer’s imagination to apply their own meaning. So...
